Whilst this organisation is flexible in its approach and sympathetic to the needs of individuals and other organisations, it must be appreciated that we cannot afford to lose funding or fail to meet targets.  Therefore the following terms and conditions must be adhered to.

These training courses are offered primarily to the Voluntary and Community Sector.  Private and Public Sector organisations will be considered for places once Voluntary Sector organisations have had a chance to book.

Places can be reserved by email or telephone.  They will be held for 14 days.  If a completed booking form and payment in full are not received after 14 days, the places will be reallocated.

Booking forms are to be completed in full and signed by the delegate and their line manager.  These must be returned to the office before the course is due to start.  If the form and payment are not received in advance, delegates may not be permitted on the course.  In some cases, (when forms cannot be posted in advance due to late booking) forms may be submitted on the day, but this must be agreed in advance.  Delegates must be 16 years or over.

If a delegate is disruptive, abusive or disrespectful to others, they may be asked to leave and will be refused access to further courses.

Courses will not run with less than 10 delegates.  If a course does not have enough participants to enable it to run, the course will be cancelled and a full refund will be made.

It is intended that the training reaches as many delegates as possible.  Therefore if a delegate wishes to attend more than three Big Lottery courses, they will be asked to submit a training plan explaining their training needs and countersigned by their line manager.

If an organisation owes money for a course it cannot be permitted to book any further places until the account is settled.

If a delegate persistently fails to attend courses, we reserve the right to refuse access to further training.

Substitutions can be made at any time prior to the course starting.  This will not incur additional charges, but will require a fresh application form.

Cancellation by the delegate will incur charges as follows:

  • More than 7 days notice incurs no charge and the course fee will be returned in full if paid.
  • 3-7 days notice incurs a £10 charge and no refund of fees.  If we manage to fill the place, the course fee will be refunded.
  • 2 days or less notice will incur £20 charge and no refund of course fees.

At all stages in the application of this policy, discretion and the right to appeal will be exercised.
